Bio
Tarra was born and raised in Southwest Florida. Since she could hold a crayon, she knew she wanted to be an artist. Throughout her childhood, Tarra's parents encouraged her artistic endeavors and into high school she entered numerous art contests and worked hard to refine her technical skills. Painting and drawing were the two techniques she was drawn to for the most part of her childhood and teenage years; it was not until college that Tarra began experimenting with printmaking, clay sculpture, photography and mixed media. Tarra is inspired by popular culture and American societal values. She loves dinosaurs, cheesy science fiction and anything relating to films or television. Tarra recently graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with a B.A. in Art. She is continuing to show her work and is always seeking out new opportunities in life and art. In December, she showed with the San Carlos Collective at the Art Now Fair in Miami Beach, during Art Basel 2011.
